What a massive shame! This company has fabulous PR and social media presence but clearly cannot operate properly as a retailer. The dresses are very strangely cut, super small and shrink when you hand wash them in cool water! Customer services just told me to stretch the fabric back to size which doesn’t work and really shouldn’t be necessary. Sadly I will be avoiding Rouje from now on.

I am shocked at the reviews claiming the quality is poor. I have been repeatedly buying from this brand throughout this year ( clothes, shoes ) and I follow the sizing chart and everything is perfect. They even tell you what fabrics are used in the clothes and it’s all high quality. People need to understand that some high quality materials are more fragile and sheer then others. Also, these materials can be extremely soft and hard to take care of so they will break if you don’t take care of them properly. I will admit I have to “baby” some of the clothes due to how fine some of those materials are. Not everything that’s high quality is super strong like cotton. Just look at what it’s made out of. Definitely NOT fast fashion. You have to hand wash almost all the clothes. I live in USA and never had to return anything however. My size is small so that could be the reason I never have to return anything. I even bought clothes used from this brand when things sold out. Clothing is very, very good, even second hand! Shoes you need to baby as well because the leather is an extremely soft thin leather but they are my favorite. Always a repeat customer.

Worse than Fast Fashion Quality for Exorbitant Prices

I ordered two times at Rouje as the clothes in the pictures looked all nice and I thought of "investing" a bit considering that they look Vintage and might last for a while. The investment turned out to be a total waste of money! To my horror, the clothes are sewn miserably, the quality of the material is cheap. A lot of products are produced in China and Tunesia. To call it Fast Fashion would be too good for what they produce. I have H&M and Camaieu pieces that lasted decades (just to compare). Considering the prices and the worst-ever quality, it led me to the assumption that they are fooling the costumers. There are much better and REAL Parisian brands out there, affordable, better... they need to be discovered. byebye Rouje!

Dress got loose after ONE wear..

I bought the Mina dress on sale for 100 eur (original price 190 I think). The size was ok but the fabric was so thin that after ONE wear it got loose around my waist. I washed it and nothing changed, the dress had lost its shape and as a result it became longer on the back side! I have H&M dresses that costed 10 euros and still look fine. Very disappointed, will never buy anything from them again.

Shady practices

Absolutely shady!! I received a gift card from my sister for Christmas and upon trying to use it, found out that it was not valid. I contacted customer support and they said there was a bug in the system and it would be fixed by the end of the week. Two weeks pass and the problem isn't resolved. I reach out again and am told to wait. After going back and forth for months, nothing is resolved. The last email said that they don't know why it still wont work but not to worry, just place your order and we will refund you. That is crazy! They can't get their gift cards to work but they think they will be able to refund to my card?? The gift card also has an expiration date of only one year?? In addition to this I can see the gift card is associated with my account (but unusable), and the expiration for it is now in March 2021 instead of December 2021 anyway. So they are essentially running out the clock on the gift card so I can't cash it in. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!

shrinking fabric, a waste of money

At first I bought two dresses because they looked so pretty on their website. After one cold water hand wash, they all shrank. I emailed Rouje and asked if there was anything i could do. Their CS asked me to iron them using a traditional iron. I bought an iron while i did have two steam irons at home. Still my dresses could not go back to their original size. Then i went one size up when i bought three more dresses the second time. Very stupid indeed. They shrank again after one wash. I emailed Rouje and they asked me to pull the fabric as i iron it. Didn't work. All shrank. I ended up wasting the money for five dresses and one iron. I only wore two of them once.
I do hope they will take the shrinking problem of their fabric seriously but I would not shop there again.

Arrived ripped & extremely small

I ordered the most beautiful dress (the Flores) from Rouje & was so excited to receive it. I read the reviews & sized up one, as suggested. When I received the dress, it was ripped at the neckline seam, far too low cut, and impossible to button around my rib cage. For reference, I am 5’2, 109 pounds. I ordered a size 34. For this dress to button around me, I’d have to go up about 2 more sizes. I fear that if I do that, the neckline would be even lower and the dress would be too long for me, as it would be in proportion to the larger sizing and I am quite short. I am sad I must send the dress back, and definitely will not be ordering from Rouje again.

Rouje GIFT CARDS deactivated 'because of a bug'

I received a gift card for Rouje. When I went to use it, the site wouldn't recognise it. I contacted their customer service, who informed me: 'We are currently experiencing issues with gift cards. They have been deactivated due to a bug - not cancelled - and out IT team is currently trying to fix it.' I was told to 'be patient' but no further info was given in terms of when exactly this would be fixed. Fingers crossed.
While I can understand the odd website issue, what is concerning is that Rouje should have immediately contacted anyone who purchased gift cards to let them know about this. It is terrible to just let customers find out by themselves on the day they decide to shop! Perhaps they are just banking on people giving up and not contacting them... Overall, I would NOT trust this site and this brand. Very careless.

Misleading and Bad Business Practices

Do not offer free shipping to a country if you cannot offer either free or low-cost returns as well. This company advertises/markets to those in the U.S. for free shipping above a certain amount, but return shipping is on the customer. However, there is simply NO disclaimer as to how much a customer can expect to spend if returning from the U.S. and the only way to find out about the return shipping is by reading the fine print. This is just bad business. It is misleading and not in line with most modern-day brands. Don't do business with customers who you can't provide the type of experience they should expect from a brand as expensive and supposedly high-quality as Rouje. I will not be purchasing from them again after spending over $100 in return shipping.

NEVER AGAIN...

I found out my order was duplicated,(I wasn't charged twice, but then they sent me the two same Items)
I let them know immediately, But the lady at the customer service, at first she was accusing me that it was MY mistake, so I had to pay for the shipment fee.
And just AFTER I made it clear, that I made payment just once then she finally checked, and admitted that it was because of the site bug.
(so if same thing happen and when you make double payment they will assume it's just your mistake and won't double check it for you so be aware!!!)
And then she was re-stating that if it's some kind of a GOOD GESTURE that I don't have to pay for shipment fee.
Which is at this point was quite clear that they just want their item back and by the way, she didn't even say sorry right away for causing me a trouble nor accusing me it was my mistake.
Since I'm doing THEM a favor, to be able to send their item because of THEIR mistake, Now I have to spend another days to send item back that I have nothing to do with. (and the returning process was not even the easiest!!!!)
So I thought it's my right to get some benefit from them. And asked them a handling fee.(I'm a full time worker, not a charity)
And the answer was just simple NO.
I mean.. the mistake can happen but the way of dealing problem is just wrong.
It was my first order from Rouje, at the beginning I was quite excited, but I learned my lesson this time.
Thank you Rouje for the worst experience of online shopping I have ever experienced.

I ordered something and it's been 4…

I ordered something and it's been 4 business days without so much as a notice of processing or preparing the order for shipment. I tried to contact customer service to find out the status of my order and got an email stating there is a 48 hour wait for a response. Based on the other notes about quality of fabric and sizing, I wish I could cancel my order before it ships. Will see how long it takes to actually arrive...
